Casting "Birds of a Feather," a nonprofit initiative dedicated to shedding light on childhood trauma, with a significant portion of film sales being donated to support the WellPoint Care Network in Milwaukee, WI.
A feature film shedding light on childhood trauma, this heavily character-driven feature explores the triggers and aftereffects that abuse leaves imprinted on people. Gibbs, a blue-collar loner takes in a young girl, Ruby, who’s alone and destined for foster care. He must peel back the layers of his own childhood trauma to save her from the same fate.
Shoots Nov. 8-12 in Milwaukee, WI.

CASEY should embody a below-middle-class background, akin to Maria Carey’s role in the movie Precious. She’s far from glamorous and very tough; the harsh Midwest winters and demanding job have shaped her, but she excels at what she does. Casey is a veteran of Child Social Services. They’re intelligent, to the point, and add a touch of wit. They have come up against their own troubles throughout life feeling accepted and receiving the care they deserve, so tends to relate to their small clients.
